The Austrian striker has been the main man for the 'Irons' this season, but concerns were raised when he was forced to go off injured in their last match against Man City.
With five goals in 11 Premier League games so far this campaign, he would have been a huge miss against the 'Magpies', but his manager has confirmed that he will be able to take part.
"Marko felt that he could worsen his injury if he continued. We were losing 3-0 then so it wasn't that important."
"Marko has worked the whole week without any problem. We gave him an extra day to recover from the game on Saturday but he is OK."
