Fresh off the back of signing Joe Hart, West Ham are hoping for another transfer breakthrough.
Reports claim that a move for Mexican hitman Javier Hernandez is growing closer.
The former Manchester United man is said to be free to move on this summer and has a £13m release clause in his contract with the German side.
West Ham are keen on Hernandez and are believed to have already held talks with the player's agent as their annual striker search continues.
The 29-year-old scored 13 goals in 36 games in all competitions last season and averages a goal every other game for his national side, with 48 goals in 96 games.
Hernandez's movement would give West Ham another option, with Andy Carroll already providing a significant aerial presence for Slaven Bilic's side.
