The arrival of Thomas Tuchel on the Chelsea bench has meant a breath of fresh air for the attacker because he understands everything much better than Lampard.
"It's helped me having someone shouting at me in German from the touchline. Tuchel is a really good guy and he has an idea of football that we went to carry out. As soon as we have more training sessions with him, we'll get better.," he said in comments 'AS' have reported.
Werner admitted that "it's not a coincidence that Abrahimovich persisted with the idea of getting a German coach after Lampard's departure". Werner also said he feels more comfortable.
With regards to Chelsea as a team, the player is happy with how they are progressing and said that the squad are excited and keen to compete for the first few positions.
"A few weeks back we were going nowhere and we were many points behind fourth. We want to keep going and we are just four points off second. We are back in the mix," Werner concluded.
