The 'Arsenal of the invincibles' became Premier League champions in the 2003-04 season without losing a single game. Surely, few dared to predict that the 'Gunners' would go the next 18 years without winning the title.
This season, the start has excited the fans and has Mikel Arteta's team leading the way. This could be the season in which the curse is broken. And it's not just the London club's fans who think so.
Arsene Wenger, speaking to 'Sky Sports', was optimistic: "I would say Arsenal have a good chance of winning the Premier League this season because I don't see any super-dominating team.
"It's a bit of a special season because there's the World Cup and you don't know how it's going to affect the performances of the players and the teams. So, yes, I think Arsenal have a good chance this season," he concluded.
