The Chile international watched his teammates beat Chelsea on penalties to lift the first trophy of the season, despite returning to training earlier this week.
Wenger was asked whether Sunday's absentees would feature in the Premier League opener against Leicester on Friday, to which the French manager simply answered: 'Overall, we will see'.
He did give the reason behind Alexis Sanchez sitting out of such a crucial clash: 'I left them all out because some are short of preparation like Alexis Sanchez', the boss said, after Sanchez returned to pre-season training on Tuesday.
So the Chilean will likely be ready for the Foxes' visit, while some of his teammates are still doubtful: 'Mesut had a kick on his ankle which was swollen and he couldn't practise yesterday. He has a little chance to play on Friday night. Ramsey has a chance but I think he could be short as well', Wenger said.
