The Ajax defender hopes Wednesday's match "will be tough", which will force his team "to be aggressive" because "the playoff is not over yet," he said at a press conference.
When asked if there are nerves among the players, Daley Blind acknowledged that there is "some healthy tension", but that is the same as "with the other great games," in reference to the games against Real Madrid and Juventus.
He also said that the squad is "in good shape" and that having played the final of the Netherlands Cup against Willem II last Sunday will not affect the performance of the team.
Ajax won 4-0 and won the first title of the season, although the celebrations were not prolonged due to the proximity of their Champions League semi-final.
"We had this game in our heads," Blind acknowledged, explaining that the players celebrated "on the pitch and then with the fans in the stadium," but then "we had dinner together and went home," Blind said.
Should he reach the Champions League final and win it, the player would follow his father's footsteps, Danny Blind, who won it with Ajax in 1995.
"I'm very proud of his fantastic career. If I start to play like him, it will be beautiful," he said.
