'We have shown that we play good football'

'Les Bleus' defeated Peru 1-0 on Thursday, meaning that the South American side are now unable to progress to the knockout stages of the World Cup. 

Although Guerrero is unhappy with the elimination, he is proud of the football his team played in Russia. "The team fought until the end," he said after the clash. "There is nothing to beat ourselves up about."

"We are sad, we hoped for more, but that's football, we have to carry on working."

"We showed that we play good football, that we make a lot of intricate moves, but unfortunately we couldn't convert. We have to improve and end the World Cup well."

"I can only give words of thanks to the Peruvian people who put in a great effort to be here with us."
