"We deserved to be in the final" - Julian Alvarez

Argentinian striker Julian Alvarez, scorer of two of the goals in Argentina's 3-0 victory over Croatia in the World Cup semi-final in Qatar said that his country "deserved it".
"Both me personally and the team deserved this, to be in the final, which is what we wanted. Now it's time to rest and have a great game on Sunday," the Man City footballer said.
Alvarez scored his first goal, his team's second, which will be one of the most beautiful of the World Cup.
"I started going, several teammates passed by, the pitch was a bit uneven, but the ball stayed with me and I got the goal which gave us breathing space," he said.
The striker said he feels "very happy" like "the whole country" which is "happy with what is being achieved."
