Karim Benzema is a different man. This season, despite the fact it has been awful for the team, has shown the Frenchman to be the club's main goal getter. After a decade, there is no longer doubt over Benzema.
The striker went on 'TMC' where he gave an interview in which he could not avoid getting emotional when he spoke about his children. He praised Zidane, who he described as his "older brother", and he denied the possibility of leaving for Ligue 1.
During the interview, Benzema was asked to speak in Spanish, something he agreed to while laughing. Immediately he was asked the following: "Cristiano Ronaldo has left, are you now the big chief?"
Benzema laughed again and was nervious before replying: "We could say so, but it is a team effort, not an individual one. On a personal level I have had a great season."
"In France I only have Lyon in my heart. I left a very good image there, so I would like to remain. The answer is no, for the time being I will not return," he confessed.
