The defender dared to make a suggestion. "They could make a ballon d'Or only for Cristiano and Messi regarding results... and one for everyone else," he said whilst laughing, in an interview with Ivan Zamorano in 'TUDN', a Mexican media.
In this way, Ramos believes, other players would have a chance, something quite difficult with only one Ballon d'Or and two beasts like Cristiano and Messi. "In the end it would be better for football," he continued.
Ramos could not be happier with everything that he has achieved at Madrid. "I feel proud. In the end, it's something nobody gave me. Behind those walls is all the work, the sacrifice, the dedication and the constancy. Because it is not only performing, it is to keep on doing so," he stressed.
"There are a lot of things behind the scenes that a lot of people don't know, success is not by chance. May my legacy serve to inspire millions of childeren that when you fight for something, things can be accomplished and achieved," he stated.
Throughout everything he has experienced, he made it clear that: "The Lisbon goal has been the most representative moment in recent years, on a personal and Madrid level. It changed history. The Champions Leagues are like my children... I can't tell you who I want more".
He also spoke about the future. "I will play until I no longer enjoy it. I'll use as much as I can as long as it feels good. I take care of myself a lot, I hope to continue well for many years. I don't rule out long-term coaching," he confessed.
And who could be his replacement? "Comparisons are never good. There's a very good junior academy. There are good players in the market and Madrid can sign them. De Ligt has a lot of projection... He needs experience, but he is a player of the future", he concluded.
