Dutchman Michel Vorm has admitted that he gets bored playing back up for captain and number one keeper Hugo Lloris.
The 35 year old was honest about his role with the North London side, and also suggested that he could seek pastures new in the near future, as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
Vorm has always been 'Spurs' back up goalkeeper; he was purposely bought to provide competition for Hugo Lloris, but has never once displaced the Frenchman as the club's outright number one.
In four years in North London, Vorm has only made 47 appearances for Tottenham, and is now considering the possibility of moving away in order to secure more regular game time.
Vorm told Dutch media outlet 'Der Telegraaf': "I think I have a few good years for myself. My contract expires after this season, then we'll see how it goes. I feel very good. Now I have to make sure that I stay fit. It's always boring to sit on the bench or in the stands."
Given the arrival of Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton in the summer, Vorm may well have to leave the club at the end of the season, as the player has impressed 'Spurs' boss Pochettino during his time at the club.
Pochettino recently spoke of the young stopper, his words full of praise: "His progression is fantastic. Of course, the credit is always for the players, but [we have] to give big credit to Toni Jimenez, the goalkeeping coach, who's helping all the keepers to improve and grow. We were right when we signed him one-and-a-half years ago, because we believed and we knew him from Southampton. He's still young for a keeper and has the potential to be top."
The more senior Vorm is set to get the nod in goal for 'Spurs' match with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday, as number one, Hugo Lloris is suspended, having been sent off in the reverse fixture last month.
