Dusan Vlahovic is Fiorentina's star player and one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. Atletico Madrid and Juventus seem very interested in acquiring his services, but the 'viola' team is working tirelessly to try to renew their player.
Although in the last few days his long-term continuity seemed closer, the truth is that the Serbian striker has still not extended his contract, something that worries Rocco Comisso, president of Fiorentina, who publicly revealed the salary that the club has put on the table.
"I don't know if Vlahovic will end up signing a new contract with us. I don't know. What is certain is that we have offered him a total of 40 million gross over five years," he told TMW.
"This would be the biggest contract (eight million a year) in the history of Fiorentina. He would be paid more than Batistuta or Rui Costa. He is taking a big risk. And I'm getting a bit nervous...", said the president.
A clear and forceful message for Vlahovic and his agents to define once and for all a future that could be far from Florence if the Balkan does not lower his expectations.
