Vinicius is barely taking center stage this campaign. At least, not the one that was presupposed to him when he was first welcomed by applause and cheering in the Santiago Bernabeu.
He has only enjoyed four starts this season, but with ten matches to his name more is expected of him. In total, he has added 430 minutes, in which he has contributed with a goal and one assist.
Last Saturday, the Brazilian almost provided the goal which could have won the game against Real Betis. It was not his mistake so much as a good save by Joel Robles, but once again his lack of precision and aim were visible in his performance.
In spite of this, Vinicius has not lost his high market value which first made him famous with his irruption in Real Madrid. He reportedly wants to continue in the club, but some of Europe's greats - PSG, among others - could come knocking.
Gareth Bale's good LaLiga start, Eden Hazard's arrival, and Rodrygo's recent boom have meant he will be getting less and less of a starring role, but the market could still provide opportunities.
