Zenit St Petersburg hosted Spartak Moscow in a Russian Premier League clash at the Gazprom Arena last Wednesday.
The hosts took the lead after eight minutes through Sardar Azmoun, but Spartak were level midway through the half when Dejan Lovren turned the ball into his own net. In the second half, the game was heading for a draw, but Zenit then struck twice late on. Yaroslva Rakitskiy made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute and Artem Dzyuba sealed the points in added time. Zenit are top of the league on 41 points, four ahead of CSKA Moscow, while Spartak drop to 3rd on 35 points.
