Brazilian side Vasco de Gama have announced the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Vanderlei from Gremio, who joins on a free transfer.
The veteran 37-year-old shot-stopper has stayed in Brazil throughout his whole career, starting with Coritiba in 2007 where he stayed until 2014. He then moved on to Santos, where he spent five years, leaving the club in 2019. He played one season for Gremio, at which point he has decided to change colours once more - this time to the black and white of Vasco da Gama.
The team from Rio de Janeiro will be looking to bounce back from their relegation to the Brazilian Serie B last season, for which the experience of Vanderlei might be vital.
