Shkodran Mustafi was a big-money capture for Arsenal over the summer, with the Germany international lured away from La Liga outfit Valencia.
He has settled quickly in English football and formed a productive partnership alongside Laurent Koscielny at the heart of the Gunners’ back four.
Arsene Wenger has been in need of a reliable presence to add to his defensive ranks for some time, and appears to have struck gold with the World Cup winner.
Mustafi is comfortable enough in possession to have adopted Arsenal’s ball-playing philosophies, while he also possesses the physical attributes required to handle the demands of the Premier League.
At the age of 24 there is also the promise of much more to come, with the Gunners set to benefit from the peak years of his career.
They are without his services at present, as Mustafi picked up an unfortunate knock during Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Stoke City, but before being laid low, the talented centre-half showcased his talent during an epic bin shot challenge battle with freestyle footballer Sofiane Touzani – with the video below posted on the Touzani TV YouTube channel.
Mustafi came off second best against Touzani, but showed that he has a few tricks up his sleeve.
He also proved to be two footed, which should serve Arsenal well once he returns to action in the new year and endeavours to keep them firmly in the hunt for Premier League title glory.
