Following Chelsea's 4-3 win over Brighton in the Premier League Summer Series, Blues defender Thiago Silva spoke about the arrival of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentinian was hired following a dismal season for Chelsea which saw them finish 12th in the Premier League standings, but now Silva looks to the new season optimistically under the new coach.
"Things are working well, we're training well and finding the necessary connections", began the Brazilian. "I think we have a lot of room for evolution. The purpose is to prepare the team well to start the season well and try to have a better season than the previous year".
The 38-year-old admitted that last season they had had difficulties with a lack of "trust" but with the arrival of Pochettino, he's "putting things on the line so that we can have a good season, fight at the top, which is our intention".
