On May 14 2005, there were still three league games of the season left to play and Barcelona were within inches of their first league title in six years, and thanks to a 1-1 draw against Levante, they got the vital point they needed. Of course, it was Eto’o who grabbed the equaliser on the hour mark, and he managed 24 LaLiga goals in Frank Rijkaard’s second season in charge.

The Ciutat de València is a stadium that brings back good memories to Barcelona fans, as it's the ground that saw the club win the 2005 LaLiga title, which meant the end of the so-called desert crossing.

The Barça, with that conquest, put an end to some difficult years, since it had not celebrated anything since 1999.

Levante had taken the lead thanks to Rivera, but Samuel Eto'o, in the second part, leveled the match and rescued a point that made Barcelona title holders.
