Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær has spoken out in praise of loanee Jesse Lingard. The player has found unbelievable form at West Ham, helping the 'Irons' hold on to Champions League spot into the business end of the Premier League season.
After spending the whole of 2020 without a single goal or assist, many questions were raised about the Englishman's loan switch to re-join David Moyes at West Ham. Next came an outbreak of memes and jokes about the transfer, however Lingard has since gone on to silent those critics - and then some!
The lad from Warrington has had a massive impact on the West Ham side, propelling them up to fourth place, one point ahead of Thomas Tuchel's star-studded Chelsea side. The Englishman has registered eight goals and three assists in just nine games for the 'Hammers', and there are talks about whether the East London club should make the deal permanent in the summer.
Ole, for his part, might want to keep the forward, especially considering the glowing terms he has recently used to describe Lingard. Have a look what the United boss had to say in this video!
