Man Utd hosted West Ham in a Carabao Cup game on Wednesday.
The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute through Manuel Lanzini after a brilliant run by Ryan Fredericks, who then had to go off injured. Man Utd dominated after that and Juan Mata struck the bar, but the Hammers were solid in defence. In the second period, the hosts continued to press and Elanga, Bruno Fernandes and Greeenwood were brought on. Greenwood was denied from close range by the keeper and United ended up losing 0-1. After the game, Anthony Martial was heavily criticised and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer defended him. Have a listen to his comments in the video!
West Ham's reward is a last 16 tie at home to Man City on 26th or 27th October.
