Derby hosted Peterborough in the Championship on Saturday. The fans at Pride Park saw a dramatic game in which players from either side were sent off before half time. Derby came out the victors 1-0 to continue their attempt to miraculously stay in England's second tier.
Both the red cards came in the first half. Peterborough's Hayden Coulson was the first to be dismissed in the 35th minute. 12 minutes later, Derby's Tom Lawrence joined him in having an early shower. The 10 v 10 second half was hard fought and it looked as though both teams would share the points until Derby's Louie Sibley scored a dramatic injury time winner.
Derby County have been deducted a total of 21 points this season due to past financial fair play misconduct. However, Wayne Rooney's side are still in with the chance of miraculously staying in the Championship as they currently sit in 22nd just 5 points from safety.
