Pep Guardiola has given updates on his star man Kevin De Bruyne following the Belgian's forced withdrawal in Saturday's FA Cup 1-0 defeat to Chelsea. Take a look what he had to say!
The mouth-watering FA Cup clash was a tight and cagey affair at times, with tactics reigning supreme from the two great football brains of Guardiola and Tuchel. Hakim Ziyech's goal on the 55th minute was enough to separate the two sides, converting after City keeper Zach Steffen was left in no man's land on the edge of the box.
Pep's men were kept at bay for the majority of the game, De Bruyne included. Unfortunately for the 'Sky Blues', the Belgian was forced off just three minutes after the break with an ankle injury sustained in a clash againt N'Golo Kante.
It has been reported that De Bruyne will have a test on his ankle on Sunday, with some vital fixtures arriving for Manchester City. They play Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final next Sunday, before a massive Champions League match against PSG just three days after that. Pep will be hoping his star man will be fit for both encounters, although right now it looks far from certain.
