Greek side PAOK celebrate their 95th anniversary, making them one of the oldest teams in Greece. Check out a short video of their history here!
The club was established in 1926 by Greek refugees in the wake of the Greco-Turkish War, which ended four years previous in 1922. The club is actually based in Thessaloniki, Macedonia. PAOK boast the third largest fanbase in the country and, according to research by 'Marca', they are the country's most popular football team on social media.
The side finished in fourth place in the Greek Super League this season, with only four points separating them and Aris Thessaloniki in second. However, they fell short of first-placed Olympiacos by a whopping twenty points, a gap that they will be hoping to cut down next time around!
