On Saturday, Olympique Lyonnais Women met Barcelona Women in the final of this season's Women's Champions League. The match at the Juventus Stadium ended in a 3-1 win to the French side.
Lyon got off to the best start imaginable as Amandine Henry netted after just six minutes. Following this, the French team stunned not only their opponents on the pitch, but also the majority of the people watching the final around the world. This is because, 17 minutes later, Ada Hegerberg doubled Lyon's advantage and ten minutes after that, Catarina Macario made it 3-0. Barcelona's Alexia Putellas pulled one back before half time but after a goalless second half, it was Lyon who were crowned Champions.
