Liga de Quito beat Fluminense 4-2 in the first leg of the 2008 Copa Libertadores final. Liga de Quito managed to beat their Brazilian rivals, winning their first-ever Libertadores title.

Liga de Quito faced Fluminense in the 2008 Copa Libertadores final. The first leg in Quito was very exciting. Bieler put the home side ahead after two minutes, but Conca drew Fluminense level 10 minutes later. Guerron and Campos then put Quito 3-1 up after 34 minutes with two quick fire goals before Urrutia made it 4-1 right on half-time. 

Neves pulled one back for the Brazilians seven minutes into the second half, but despite winning the second game 3-1, Fluminense came up just short after losing on penalties. Check out the highlights from the first leg in the video!
