Basement boys Goias faced a depleted Palmeiras side in the Brasileirao on Saturday night.
The visitors were without 21 players for the clash, all but three of them because of coronavirus, and the team were beaten at the Serrinha stadium. To make things worse, Palmeiras lost their top scorer Luiz Adriano to injury in the first half. The away side were reduced to ten men on 39 minutes after Mayke was sent off following a VAR review for a foul. Despite this, the game remained 0-0 until Miguel Figueira scored with a lovely strike from outside the box to give Goias three much needed points. Check out the highlights in the video above!
Goias remain bottom on 15 points, nine off safety despite the win while Palmeiras are 5th on 34 points.
