Fluminense hosted Sport Recife in a Brasileirao match on Saturday night.  

The visitors were reduced to 10 men five minutes before the break at the Maracana when Junior Tavares was sent off after a VAR review. Fluminense soon made their extra man count and a Patric Cabral Lalau own goal in the 49th minute saw the home side take the lead.
