We are just five months away from the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but plans are already being made for the 2026 event in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The 2026 World Cup will be first since the expansion from 32 to 48 teams and the venues for the tournament have now been announced. Vancouver and Toronto are the grounds hosting matches in Canada while 11 NFL venues have been selected in the USA. They are in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Atalanta, Miami, Boston, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Finally, three Mexican venues in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey have been selected.
The stadium in Mexico City is the Estadio Azteca, the home of Club America and Cruz Azul. The venue holds more than 87,000 people and it has held many major events in the past. Find out more about the stadium in the video above!
