Brighton opened their new AMEX Stadium back in summer 2011 when they invited Tottenham Hotspur over for a pre-season friendly.
Their move from the Withdean was celebrated by Seagulls and they saw Brighton take the lead after 11 minutes when Ashley Barrnes scored from a Mackail-Smith cross. Younes Kaboul drew Harry Redknapp's side level three minutes before half-time and then Vedran Corluka made it 1-2 in the 44th minute. Lualua brought Brighton level in the 62nd minute and then Livermore gave Spurs victory in the 69th minute. Brighton lost 2-3, but it was a special occasion for the home side.
