Reigning champions Palmeiras defeated Peruvian side Universitario de Deportes on their debut in the Copa Libertadores tournament - check out their win behind the scenes!
On the day, it was the Brazilian side that opened the scoring, pulling ahead 0-2 thanks to goals from Danilo on 20 minutes and Veiga on 52 minutes.
However, upon going two down, the debutants showed great character to make it 2-2, with a three minute brace from Gutierrez just after the hour mark.
The spoils looked like they were going to be shared, until Palmeiras' Renan broke Universitario hearts with a winner in the 95th minute! With the win, Palmeiras go top of group A, whilst Universitario go bottom.
