Flamengo hosted Liga de Quito in a Copa Libertadores matchday five clash on 20th May.
Willian Arao was sent off for Flamengo with 15 minutes on the clock. Pedro then gave Flamengo the lead after 32 minutes and Franklin Guerra levelled three minutes later. Jhojan Julio put the visitors back ahead on the hour mark, but Gustavo Henrique got a draw for the ten men in the 88th minute. Flamengo were top of Group G with 11 points while LDU Quito were 3rd with five points. Velez Sarsfield were 2nd on nine points while Union La Calera were bottom on two points.
