Arsenal travelled to Burnley in a Premier League match on Saturday. The Gunners took the lead after six minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang beat Nick Pope at his near post. Arsenal dominated, but Burnley were level in comical circumstances. Pablo Mari passed the ball back to keeper Leno, he then gave the ball to Xhaka in his own area and his lateral clearance struck Burnley man Chris Wood and went in.
In the second half, Arsenal were convinced they should have had a spot kick when Erik Pieters handled the ball, but the referee and VAR said no. Then, in the closing stages, they were awarded a penalty and Pieters was sent off for handball on the line. However, replays showed the ball hit his shoulder and the decision was reversed.
Mikel Arteta was convinced the first penalty shout against Pieters should have been given and he made it clear post-match. Have a listen to his comments above!
