On Thursday, Manchester City met Club America at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, as they kicked off their pre-season tour in the United States.
Julian Alvarez made his debut for The Sky Blues as they defeated the Mexican club 2-1. Kevin de Bruyne opened the scoring on the half hour mark before Henry Martin levelled the match in the 43rd minute. De Bruyne then netted his second of the match in additional time of the first half. City have one more pre-season friendly scheduled before they take on Liverpool for the Community Shield on 30th July. Pep's team will face Bayern Munich on Sunday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
