Ajax were top of the 2019-20 Eredivisie on goal difference when the season was brought to a premature end because of the coronavirus. No champion was declared and so Ajax missed out on the chance to win the league again.
However, the team from Amsterdam did lift the trophy back in 2018-19 after picking 86 points, three more than nearest rivals PSV. Ajax won 28 of their 34 matches and scored a whopping 119 goals on their way to the title.
It ended up being a great campaign for them as they would have made the Champions League final had it not been for a last gasp Lucas Moura strike for Tottenham and Erik Ten Hag's men lifted the Dutch Cup. Check out the club's highlights from the 2018-19 Eredivisie season in the video below.
