Vertonghen hopes to return in March

Jan Vertonghen is still on the sidelines but plans to be playing again in March. TottenhamHotspur

Tottenham defender, Jan Vertonghen has not played for Spurs since sustaining an injury during the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace last month.

On Friday, Vertonghen told the club's official website that he plans to be fully recovered by the end of March and that he is desperate to be "part of the team and help however I can."

Fortunately for Spurs they have won all four matches in his absence, prior to the tie again Fiorentina in the Europa League on Thursday.
