Cristiano Ronaldo has become the public enemy for many in Manchester. The Portuguese footballer said that he felt betrayed by Manchester United and emphasised that he does not respect Erik ten Hag.
His teammate Raphael Varane spoke to 'Europe 1' about how the dressing room received the striker's harsh words on their club: "Obviously it affects us. We follow what is happening and what is being said," he said.
"We try to calm the situation in our own way, we try not to get too involved in it. What is happening in the media in the big clubs is gaining momentum."
Varane preferred not to get too involved in the issue and left the matter in the hands of the club: "When it's a star like Ronaldo, even more, so we try to take it with distance, that is to say that we do not try to change the situation alone, we are part of a collective. What I want is the best for my team, so whatever the decision, as players, we'll accept it and give the best of ourselves," he concluded.
These comments could be the end of Ronaldo at Old Trafford. For the moment, the club have already decided to remove his image from the stadium's facade.
