Real Madrid already believe that it's practically a done deal that Varane will leave this summer, and his exit would give youngster Jesus Vallejo the chance in the first team.
However, Varane himself is still yet to make a decision. 'Goal' reports that the Frenchman hasn't asked the club to leave, at least not at the moment. He could opt to try a new adventure elsewhere, or decide to stay in the Spanish capital.
His contract with Madrid expires in 2022. Madrid understands that he doesn't intend to renew, however they will still make him an offer until 2025 or 2026, according to the aforementioned source. If he accepts, his salary would be increased.
In the case that Varane does decide to leave, RM intend to get around 70 million euros for him. However, 'Goal' informs that they are aware of the delicate economic situation imposed on clubs by the pandemic, and as a result could accept offers for as low as 40 to 50 million. In any case, Varane still hasn't come forward on the matter, as right now, he is concentrated on the Euros with France.
'Goal' write that Varane wants to take his time to consider the project that Real Madrid are offering him, while at the same time listening to offers that arrive from the likes of United, Chelsea or PSG. Only when he has considered all of that will he give a response to 'Los Blancos'.
