Arsenal are in trouble. Arteta's side need to score at least three goals in the second half if they are to take all three points at the Etihad after a first half in which the Sky Blues were far better.
Pep Guardiola's side started in style by taking the lead in the 6th minute thanks to an incredible finish from De Bruyne. However, the Cityzens did not find that slender lead enough and kept creating chances. A great Ramsdale denied Haaland on three occasions with some great saves to deny the home side's second goal.
However, the Sky Blues managed to extend their lead just before half-time. John Stones was the one who rose the highest to poke home from the back stick. After initially being ruled out for an offside by the on-field linesman, the VAR came in clutch for City to award the home side's second of the night. A milimetric decision which infuriated all Gunners fans.
The English defender has made 25 appearances this season, 23 starts, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
