Video Assistant Referees (VAR) will be used from the last 16 of this season's Champions League, UEFA has confirmed.
The UEFA Executive Committee has decided in Dublin on Monday afternoon that the technology will be introduced, after a successful trial period at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
In addition, the committee decided to also use VAR at the UEFA Europa League Final 2019, in the UEFA Nations Leagues Finals 2019 and in the final tournament of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2019.

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, said:
"We are ready to use VAR earlier than initially planned and we are convinced that it will be beneficial for our competitions as it will provide valuable help to match officials and will allow to reduce incorrect decisions."
UEFA is the last major competition organiser in world football to allow referees to use video replays to make better decisions.
Premier League clubs have also agreed to introduce VAR, which is already being used in the Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A, next season
