Sevilla took the lead at the Wanda through a De Jong goal and he celebrated it in style. Their joy was short lived though as they fell behind shortly after the 30 minute mark.
Atletico asked for a penalty for handball by Diego Carlos and the referee Hernandez Hernandez went to review the incident on the monitor. He gave a penalty and showed the defender yellow as well as coach Lopetegui.
The Sevilla coach protested the decision and Morata converted from 12 yards to make it 1-1.

Just four minutes later, Joao Felix scored after an Atletico counter. The Portuguese shot, the ball defected off Kounde and that caught Vaclik off guard. The goalie was left for dead.
But that was not all in the first half. Ocampos asked for a penalty after being tripped by Trippier. The referee was once again called to the monitor. The official pointed to the spot again and Ocampos made no mistake to restore parity once again.
