Feyenoord have recovered one of their illustrious figures for the cause, Robin Van Persie. The ex-striker returns to Rotterdam not as a player, but as a member of Dick Advocaat's coaching team.
Van Persie's role will be a very particular one and one he knows a lot about: he will be a striker coach. He will transmit his wide professional experience to them, especially to the youngest ones.

I couldn't say no to Dick," said the Dutchman, who at 37 was happy about this new role: "I think it's a win-win situation. I'm going to find out here if I like this and help the staff a little".
Van Persie says he feels "more like a player than a coach" and that's not surprising. Last summer he retired from Feyenoord after scoring 18 goals that season, but the decision was made.
