Barca's new boys featured regularly during pre-season as the club took advantage of the extended breaks handed to their World Cup stars by getting their new recruits up to speed with their style of play, expectations etc.
However, competitive game time looks set to be harder to come by for Arthur, Clement Lenglet, Arturo Vidal and Malcom.
None of the quartet have started a league game so far this season, albeit with only two rounds of fixtures having been played.
Malcom and Vidal are the only new recruits to have featured in a league game, whilst the latter also came on in the Super Cup victory over Sevilla to take his tally of minutes to 23 spread over three games.
Both Lenglet and Arthur started that game in Tangier, though the Frenchman has yet to taste LaLiga action, with the Samba star playing just 13 minutes in the league to date.
With a long season ahead and Barca hoping to challenge across all competitions there is no doubt that all four will have a part to play sooner or later, with Valverde's preference to ease in new signings slowly also well documented.
