Usain Bolt scores twice on first professional start
The Jamaican eight-time Olympic sprint champion scored the Mariners' third and fourth goals against Macarthur South West and celebrated with his trademark lightning bolt celebration.
Bolt, who has trained with Borussia Dortmund prior to Central Coast Mariners, pleased the bumper crowd in Campbelltown with his first goal for the club after 55 minutes.
Bolt, 6 ft 5 in, was surprisingly agile to bring down a loose ball and then fire the ball under the Macarthur South West goalkeeper at his near post.
Ten minutes later Bolt had his second of the game.
Bolt capitalised on a defensive error and coolly slotted the ball home into an empty net, doubling his career goal tally in the space of ten minutes.
After the game the 100m and 200m world record holder told 'FOX Sports' that he was pleased with his performance.
"My first start and scoring two goals, it's a good feeling.
"I'm happy I could come here and show the world I'm improving.
"I'm keen to be a Mariner, to play my best and get into the team," Bolt added.
The 32-year-old joined the A-League club in August for an "indefinite training period".
