United will move for Icardi and Rabiot
What once seemed a complete write-off of a season under Jose Mourinho has turned into one of great promise under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and United are keen to build on the progress made with a dip into the transfer market.
A host of big names have been linked with moves to Old Trafford, among them Ivan Rakitic of Barcelona. Although he started off as the club's first-choice target, the midfielder has since fallen off their radar, being replaced by Adrien Rabiot and Mauro Icardi.
According to reports by 'CalcioMercato.it', Manchester United have joined the race for Icardi, whose future at current club Inter Milan appears highly uncertain. They are also interested in the talented Adrien Rabiot, who seems close to a move away from PSG.
He was spotted in a Paris nightclub just hours after his club's disastrous elimination from the Champions League, and his contract runs out this summer. 'The Sun' have also written that United are in pole position to sign the midfielder.
