The 'Manchester Evening News' announces that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will leave Manchester United in the coming months. The media outlet assured that the 'Red Devils' will not renew the academy player, who was one of the young promises given the chance under Louis Van Gaal when the controversial Dutch coach tried to freshen up the team.
In the 2015-16 season, Borthwick-Jackson, a left back, ended up making 14 appearances for Manchester United combining Premier League and FA Cup matches. However, Jose Mourinho's arrival in 2016 meant he stopped getting games.
The Portuguese did not count on him and he had to go out on loan to Wolves and then Leeds United. He played several games for Man Utd's U21 and U23 team, but Mou never took him into account when making his line-ups.
The last three campaigns were not at all positive for the footballer, who ended up dropping further down the leagues. He ended up playing on loan at Scunthorpe United, Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic.
As well as his departure, the Mancunian paper reports that another left-back who come through the club's academy, Demetri Mitchell, will also leave.
