Manchester City have assigned United 2,800 seats as opposed to the usual 3,000, causing the 'Red Devil' officials to write a letter of complaint to express their disgruntlement at the situation.
Although, it is widely accepted that no changes will be made to the allocations, United are less than pleased about having their supporter base limited with friction between the two Premier League giants increasing.
City have been keen to stress that they are acting on official advice in a bid to increase fan safety with United having previously had their supporter allocations reduced due to persistant standing, but insist that fan behaviour has improved in recent years.
City will confirm the allocations on Saturday afternoon for the clash at Etihad Stadium on April 7th, where City manager Pep Guardiola is aiming to pick up his first league title.
The Spaniard is wary of premature celebration though, stating: ''the distance (at the top) is not normal in the beginning of March. It's almost done but we are not the champions. The champions are still Chelsea.''
