United's Martial and Lingard major doubts for Chelsea clash
Martial had to be substituted at half-time due to a groin problem, while Lingard injured his hamstring and went off in first half added time. Their departure from the pitch took the wind out of United's sails as PSG went on to dominate the second period. But the incidents could have more lasting consequences, as the pair now appear unlikely to face Chelsea in Monday night's crucial FA Cup clash.
The Red Devils are waiting on the results of scans for both players, and their absence would be a huge setback, as they have played such an important part in United's revival under Solskjaer. The United manager said after the PSG match: "You don't know with muscular injuries, hamstring and groin.".
"We'll need a couple of days to assess them. Jesse and Anthony are big parts of our squad. They’ve played really well. We need to find a different way to play when Anthony and Jesse are out."
