'Daily Mail' explains the Man Utd goalkeeping situation for next season. Apparently, the Premier League club will keep David De Gea as the number one for next term.
That said, they will not rule out Dean Henderson who they are hoping will become the former Atletico Madrid keeper's natural replacement in the coming years.
De Gea will continue being a nailed on starter at Old Trafford. He joined the Mancunians back in January 2011 from Atletico Madrid. He has made 404 competitive appearances and conceded 415 goals.
It is therefore that United are hoping to persuade Henderson to spend a third season on loan at Sheffield United so that he keeps on developing his game before replacing De Gea between the sticks.
The 23 year-old England international has played 86 competitive matches and conceded 78 goals in two seasons on loan at the Blades. We will see whether Henderson is willing to go on loan again for another season before staying at Man Utd.
