After completing a spectacular season at RB Leipzig, the name of Dayot Upamecano has popped up on the agenda of practically all the big teams in Europe, who see in the Frenchman a defender for the next decade.
His young age (only 21) and his contract (he has reportedly agreed with the club to leave before 2021) makes him be one of the most sought after pieces of the market and there are already many clubs that are interested in him.
Until now, Chelsea and Real Madrid seemed to lead the race to secure the services of the Frenchman, but these two sides seem to now have a new rival in the race for Upamecano.
And according to 'Teamtalk' and other media sources in England, Manchester United have reportedly joined the bidding for the young and forceful RB Leipzig defender in the last few days, who has become a top priority at Old Trafford.
The information indicates that the French footballer would be very much to the liking of an Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who knows that the defence continues to be the weakest part of the Manchester outfit and his main must ahead of next season.
It's worth bearing in mind that last season Upamecano played a total of 38 matches for RB Leipzig. Out of them, the Frenchman started 37.
