Former Aston Villa boss Frank de Boer's comments regarding Marcus Rashford have ruffled a few feathers. De Boer claimed that Mourinho had been inhibiting Rashford's development given his lack of game time and said it was a 'pity' that the forward plays under Mourinho.
Mourinho himself was the first to dispute the claims, and launched a scathing personal attack on De Boer, labelling him '' the worst manager in Premier League history''. Shortly afterwards, the United twitter account tweeted an image of game time statistics to dispell the 'Rashford myth'.

The tweet showed that Rashford has played more games for Manchester United under Mourinho than any other player, but bespite United's attempts to dispute De Boer's allegations, the statistics do not differentiate between starting games and those where he appeared as a substitute.
Almost half of Rashford's appearances have been as a substitute. According to the 'DailyMail', more accurate figures show that for 5,310 possible minutes that Rashford could've played, he was on the pitch for 3,147 which translates to less than 60 per cent. When calculating Champions League game time, the forward has appeared for 255 minutes from a possible 630 which accounts for only 40 per cent.
The tweet represents a somewhat inaccurate portrayal of the figures. It remains to be seen whether the 'Rashford myth' really exists.
